Sybren de Hoog
Sybren de Hoog, PhD is researcher in phylogenetic and ecological mycology, currently working at the RadboudUMC/CWZ Center of Expertise for Mycology in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He has been professor of mycology at the University of Amsterdam and holds visiting professorships at several universities in China and Brazil,and is past-President of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM). He is first author of the Atlas of Clinical Fungi, with medical and veterinary affiliations.

Sarah A. Ahmed
Sarah Ahmed, PhD is a microbiologist and medical mycologist, obtained her master’s degree from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and her PhD. from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Currently, she is guest researcher at the RadboudUMC/CWZ Center of Expertise for Mycology in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, senior lecturer at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and affiliated researcher to the Foundation Atlas of Clinical Fungi. She is co-author and co-organizer of the Atlas of Clinical Fungi project.

Yu Quan
Yu Quan, PhD, graduated in medical mycology at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She is affiliated to the Respiratory and Critical Care Center, Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University. Her Thesis concerned ecology and evolution of the order Chaetothyriales in search of human pathogenicity. Current research direction is in taxonomy, ecology and evolution of opportunistic black fungi, as well as of human primary pathogens. Her recent papers have been published in Fungal Diversity, IMA Fungus and others. She is working the organization of Atlas and black yeast projects and on the Chinese version of Atlas of Clinical Fungi.

Chao Tang
Chao Tang is affiliated with the Department of Medical Microbiology at Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on the taxonomy, evolution, antifungal resistance, bioinformatic analysis, and molecular diagnosis of dermatophytes. She has established strong collaborative ties with institutes in Germany, England, Brazil and U.S.A. concerning diagnosis, genomics and metabolomics. She is involved in expanding the dermatophyte section of the Atlas project.

Dongmei Shi
Dongmei Shi, MD, PhD is Vice Director of Jining No. 1 People’s Hospital, Director of Department of Dermatology & Laboratory of Medical Mycology, and Deputy Director of the Dermatology and Venereology Branch of the Shandong Medical Association. She is also Member of the Mycology Group of the Dermatology and Venereology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Member of the Subspecialty Committee on Mycosis of the Dermatology Branch of the Chinese Physicians Association. She is involved in the production of a Chinese version of Atlas of Clinical Fungi project.

Jacques Guillot
Jacques Guillot, PhD holds the position of full professor of Veterinary Parasitology and Mycology at Alfort since 2002. He has been a corresponding member of the French Academy of Medicine since 2008 and a full member of French Veterinary Academy since 2018. He is one of the founding members of the ISHAM Veterinary Mycology and One Health working group. His research interests include taxonomy, ecology and evolution of fungal pathogens, development of animal models of infectious diseases and development of new therapeutic options for fungal or parasitic infections in humans and animals. Jacques co-edits an Atlas of Veterinary Fungi project.

Guanzhao Liang
Guanzhao Liang, MD, PhD, is working as a doctor and researcher in Institute of Dermatology and Hospital for Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College. He has been PI of several national projects supported by NSFC and others and published over 20 SCI papers on fungal diseases. He is regular reviewer for Mycoses, Mycopathologia, and Medical Mycology, and is member of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Skin Infection Group. He is involved in the production of a Chinese version of the Atlas project.

Elke Göttlich
Elke Göttlich-Fligg, Dr. Ing. Dipl. Biol., is a biologist who obtained her Doctorate of Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Her particular mycological interest focuses on fungi in the workplace and indoor environment, including hospitals, and the home. She worked in various institutions on research and consulting in areas of water supply, wastewater and waste, feed safety, industry and hospital hygiene. At present she is a certified mould assessment expert. For the Atlas of Clinical Fungi project, she manages antifungal data.

Yinggai Song
Yinggai Song, MD, PhD, is affiliated to the Department of Dermatology and Venerology, Peking University First Hospital, Beijing, and Peking University Research Center for Medical Mycology. Yinggai is engaged in molecular diagnosis of invasive fungal diseases and infectious skin diseases, and research on the pathogenesis of clinical refractory fungal infections. She is a member of the Mycology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Microbiology, and has strong collaborative links with universities of Nijmegen, Manchester and Curitiba for Aspergillus and black yeasts. She is involved in the production of a Chinese version of Atlas and works on a method section.

Lina Guo
Lina Guo, MD is working as an associate professor at the clinical microbiology laboratory of Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing, China. She has been visiting scholar of the University of Melbourne, Australia, and at Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Her research experience concerns epidemiology and resistance mechanisms of yeasts causing invasive infections. She is involved in the production of a Chinese version of the Atlas project.

Benjamin Stielow
Benjamin Stielow, Dr. rer. nat, PhD, is leading bioinformatics scientist of the data management and analysis group at the Helmholtz Institute for One Health, in Greifswald, Germany. He has a broad experience working in international academic and corporate industry environments, with a particular focus towards development of computational approaches and methodology to advance the diagnostics of fungal pathogens employing genomics and mass spectrometry related techniques. His current research covers all applications of bioinformatics, computational biology and advanced machine learning towards microbial data analytics and within a One Health context. For the Atlas project, he manages AI applications.

Ruoyu Li
Ruoyu Li, MD is working as a professor at the Department of Dermatology, Peking University First Hospital in Beijing, China. She is the director of National Clinical Research Center for Skin and Immune Diseases and deputy director of Research Center for Medical Mycology, Peking University. She is now serving as the vice president of the International Society of Human and Animal Mycology. She has been PI of numerous national and international projects and published over 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is involved in the set-up on a medical Atlas of Fungi.

Peiying Feng
Peiying Feng, MD, PhD serves as chief of the Department of Dermatology and vice-chief of the department of Allergy at The Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China. She is a committee member of the Medical mycology section of the Chinese Mycology Society and coordinates a Working Group of the International Society of Human and Animal Mycology. Her current research interests focus on fungal biodiversity and fungal allergic diseases. She is involved in the production of a Chinese version of the Atlas project.

June Kwon Chung
June Kwon-Chung, PhD is a research scientist in medical mycology, currently working as the chief of Molecular Microbiology Section at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH in Bethesda Maryland, U.S.A. She is a past vice-president of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology and is the author of “Medical Mycology” by Kwon-Chung and Bennett. She is involved in the set-up on a medical Atlas of Fungi.

Shuwen Deng
Shuwen Deng, PhD is now working as a professor at Medical Center, People’s Hospital of Suzhou New District in Suzhou, China. She is the director of the Medical Mycology Center and serving as vice Chairperson of the medical mycology section of the Chinese Mycology Society. She has been PI of more than 10 projects, of which several national projects supported by the National Science Foundation of China, and was involved as main researcher in international collaboration projects. Dr Deng published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is involved in the production of a Chinese version of Atlas of Clinical Fungi.

Amir Seyedmousavi
Amir Seyedmousavi, PhD is a Senior Staff-Clinical Microbiology Laboratory Director and Faculty member of CPEP Microbiology Fellowship Program at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA. In this role, he works as a Consultant Clinical Microbiologist for Infectious Disease Diagnostic Testing and Hospital Epidemiology Service. He also serves as Director of Mycology and Parasitology sections. He is one of the founding members and coordinator of ‘ISHAM Fungal Diagnostics’ and ‘ISHAM Veterinary Mycology and One Health’ working groups. Amir co-edits an Atlas of Veterinary Fungi project.

Weida Liu
Weida Liu, PhD is professor at the Department of Medical Mycology, Institute of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Nanjing, China. He is the director of China Medical Fungi Culture Collection Center. He is serving as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Asia and Pacific Society of Medical Mycology. He has been PI of numerous NSFC projects and published over 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He also serves as associate editor of Mycopathologia and deputy editor of Mycoses. He is involved in the production of a Chinese version of the Atlas project.

Ditte Saunte
Ditte Marie L. Saunte, MD, PhD is an associate professor in Dermatology, Herlev and Gentofte University Hospital and Department for Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her research has mainly focused on superficial fungal infections. She has been involved in mycology as a board member of the Nordic Society for Medical Mycology 2004-22, she is chair of European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology Task force on Mycology and chair of the guidelines on superficial fungal infections committee for the Danish Dermatologist Society.
