umbonate – with a central swelling or thickening.
uncinate – branching backward in a hooked fashion.
undulate – of wavy appearance.
uniseriate – in Aspergillus: single layer of phialides on vesicle; of ascospores within an ascus: in a single row.
unitunicate – of asci: with a single wall.
